At 11,1 kN and 1’000 rpm, the CDX 10/1110-G/D occupies size 50 in the CDX range. Its spheroidal graphite cast iron frame and flameproof joints let it work inside a potentially explosive atmosphere.

The CDX 10/1110-G/D is built around a three-phase asynchronous motor whose protection does not seek to prevent the internal explosion but to contain it. That is the principle of the « db » method, and it requires the enclosure and its joints to remain intact. Protection IP66, IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), permitted ambient from −20 °C to +40 °C, continuous duty S1.
PWM inverter control is available from 20 Hz up to operating frequency, at constant torque. Since centrifugal force varies as the square of speed, any change of frequency means recalculating it. Thermal protection 130 °C is fitted as standard.
CDX units ship without a cable gland : the user must fit one, certified for flameproof enclosures and compliant with the standards of the country of installation. Installation, wiring and maintenance of this series follow strict rules, set out in our guide to the CDX flameproof vibrator motor.
