How an electromagnetic vibrator works
An electromagnetic vibrator produces mechanical vibrations through an electromagnet: an alternating current creates a magnetic field that attracts and releases a moving mass at mains frequency. Unlike rotary motovibrators, it has no rotating parts or bearings to maintain, which greatly limits mechanical wear. This simple principle makes the electromagnetic vibrating motor particularly reliable for continuous operation in an industrial setting.
The Tuxel range: two complementary families
The series A vibrators
The series A electromagnetic vibrators (A2, A4, A20) are compact bead-blasted stainless steel 304 vibrating motors, designed to be fitted directly onto an existing hopper, chute or vibrating bowl. Their power rises from 6 to 30 W depending on the model, suiting both small dosing setups and more demanding applications.
LES vibrating bases, LEX feeders and LEV vibrating bases
LES vibrating bases are bare stainless steel troughs, ready to receive a vibrating motor. LEX feeders integrate the motor directly onto the trough for a complete, ready-to-install solution. LEV vibrating bases offer a mounting variant for the same power ranges. All three families share the same power tiers (13, 37, 40 and 68 W), with IP67 protection suited to damp or dusty environments.
Industrial applications
Industrial electromagnetic vibrators are used for feeding and dosing parts on packaging lines, sorting and orienting components in vibrating bowls, flowing powders or granules in the food and pharmaceutical industries, and clearing blocked hoppers. Their low noise level and lack of compressed air make them a popular solution in noise-sensitive environments or those requiring a high level of hygiene.
How to choose your electromagnetic vibrator
Power, dimensions and compatible base
Choosing a series A vibrator or a base for an electromagnetic vibrator depends above all on the weight and volume of material to be moved: the heavier the load, the higher the power and dimensions the model should have. The base dimensions must also match the existing hopper or chute, and the IP rating should suit the environment (dust, moisture, washdown). When in doubt, it’s always best to check these three criteria — power, footprint, base — before settling on a model.
Industry sectors
The Tuxel range equips installations in the food industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics processing and manufacturing more broadly — anywhere a steady flow of bulk material or precise dosing is required.
