Size 70 of the CDX series, the CDX 15/3810-G/D develops 37,7 kN at 1’500 rpm. Its spheroidal graphite cast iron enclosure is sized so that the gases of an internal explosion cannot reach the surrounding atmosphere.

The CDX 15/3810-G/D houses a three-phase asynchronous motor whose enclosure applies the flameproof protection method « db »: the thickness of the frame and the geometry of the flameproof joints stop an internal explosion from spreading to the surrounding atmosphere. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous operation from −20 °C to +40 °C.
PWM inverter control is available from 20 Hz up to operating frequency, at constant torque. Since centrifugal force varies as the square of speed, any change of frequency means recalculating it. Thermal protection 130 °C is fitted as standard.
