The CDX 15/1710-G/D is size 50 of the Italvibras flameproof series in 4 poles. At 1’500 rpm it delivers 17,6 kN on 50 Hz, with a spheroidal graphite cast iron frame and an extra-thick terminal box cover sized to contain an internal explosion.

The CDX 15/1710-G/D houses a three-phase asynchronous motor whose enclosure applies the flameproof protection method « db »: the thickness of the frame and the geometry of the flameproof joints stop an internal explosion from spreading to the surrounding atmosphere. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous operation from −20 °C to +40 °C.
The eccentric weights are set the same way round at both ends of the shaft and must read the same value on the graduated scale. The patented ARS device rules out any error of direction. Thermal protection 130 °C is fitted as standard.
