At 21,9 kN and 3’000 rpm, the CDX 3/2300-G/D occupies size 60 in the CDX range. Its spheroidal graphite cast iron frame and flameproof joints let it work inside a potentially explosive atmosphere.

The CDX 3/2300-G/D houses a three-phase asynchronous motor whose enclosure applies the flameproof protection method « db »: the thickness of the frame and the geometry of the flameproof joints stop an internal explosion from spreading to the surrounding atmosphere. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous operation from −20 °C to +40 °C.
PWM inverter control is available from 20 Hz up to operating frequency, at constant torque. Since centrifugal force varies as the square of speed, any change of frequency means recalculating it. Thermal protection 130 °C is fitted as standard.
