The MVT 15/7900-S08 houses a three-phase asynchronous motor , supplied up to 690 V at 50 or 60 Hz. Its frame is built in three parts : a high-strength aluminium alloy centre section and outer sections in aluminium or spheroidal graphite cast iron. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous duty S1 from −20 °C to +40 °C.
The windings are trickle-impregnated with class H resin, the rotor is die-cast aluminium and the shaft alloy steel with isothermal hardening. Tropicalisation is standard on every screen vibrator. Thermal protection is not fitted as standard on the MVT series : it is available on request.
Centrifugal force is adjusted steplessly, as a percentage of the maximum value, through the eccentric weights reachable with hand tools — allowing the screen’s behaviour to be fine-tuned. Mounting is typically horizontal. The vibrators are lubricated at the factory and need no lubrication at commissioning, and they are supplied no cable gland, with an NPT threaded opening : it is up to the installer to fit a suitable one.
