The MTF 15/1710E-S02-VRS is a size 50 vertical vibrator, with the mounting flange at the top and the weight covers at the opposite end. At 1’500 rpm it delivers 11,93 kN on 50 Hz for 44,0 kg.

The gas temperature class is not a setting : it is stated when ordering and fixes both the available power and the tE time for overload protection.

The MTF 15/1710E-S02-VRS houses a three-phase asynchronous motor with 4 poles. The frame is high-strength aluminium alloy, the bearing flange cast iron or aluminium with a steel bearing seat, its geometry transmitting the load evenly. The shaft is alloy steel with isothermal hardening and the bearings use a geometry specific to Italvibras. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, continuous duty S1.
Force is set with laminated or clamped eccentric weights : the lower group can be phase-shifted relative to the upper one, and a graduated scale reads force directly as a percentage of maximum. That is what makes adjusting the screen’s behaviour straightforward, with no calculation and no dismantling.
Two mounting points worth knowing. The terminal box is deliberately kept compact to let tools through that fixes the vibrator to the machine. And IP66 sealing is only achieved once the vibrator is mounted : it is provided by a special gasket to be fitted into its seat on the coupling flange.
Protection method « e » does not seek to contain an explosion but to prevent a source of ignition from arising in the first place : no arc, no spark, no hot spot. That is what explains the tE time given in the table above : the time for which the motor, with the rotor locked, may heat up without exceeding its limit. Overload protection must trip before that time is up — this is not a decorative figure, it is a setting parameter.
