The MVB 1510/15-E-FLC at Audimat

The MVB 1510/15-E-FLC is the increased safety version of the MVB-FLC. The same mechanical performance — 14,7 kN for 41,5 kg — but with certification covering gas atmospheres as well as dust.

It is the only way to equip a circular sieve in zone 1 or 2 in this format. Audimat, official Italvibras distributor.

Applications of the MVB 1510/15-E-FLC

Design and operation

The MVB 1510/15-E-FLC houses a three-phase asynchronous motor with 4 poles, supplied from 220 to 690 V. Frame and end shields in spheroidal graphite cast iron, alloy steel shaft with isothermal hardening, bearings of specific geometry taking radial and axial loads. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F, tropicalised as standard, continuous duty S1 from −20 to +40 °C.

Increased safety : gas AND dust
Certification II 2 G and II 2 D under directive 2014/34/EU and the IECEx scheme : Ex e IIC T3 or T4 Gb on the gas side, Ex tb IIIC T150 °C Db on the dust side, standards EN/IEC 60079-0, 60079-7 and 60079-31. Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. To these are added KOSHA certification (11-AVG BO-0346 to 0351) and EAC certification. Protection method « e » does not contain the explosion : it prevents a source of ignition from arising. Hence the tE time in the table above, which sets the time within which overload protection must trip.

PWM inverter control is available from 20 Hz up to base frequency, at constant torque, only where a correctly connected PTC thermistor is fitted. The catalogue also states that the components involved in the protection are checked and recorded at 100 %.
