The M15/36-S02 houses a asynchronous motor 4-pole motor in a high-strength aluminium alloy housing with a shot-blasted surface. The bearing flange is ductile cast iron, the shaft alloy steel with isothermal hardening, and the weight covers die-cast aluminium. The windings are vacuum-impregnated and the rotor is die-cast aluminium. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous duty S1 from −20 °C to +40 °C.
The M3 series is certified II 2 D under directive 2014/34/EU, protection level Ex tD A21 T120 °C IP66 (Ex tb IIIC T120 °C Db), standards IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-31 — that is, use in zones 21 and 22. To these are added CSA approval (certificate LR 100948, Class II Div.2 Groups FG T3B, standard UL 1004-1), KOSHA certification for Korea (certificate 11-AVG BO-0359) and EAC certification for the Eurasian Customs Union.
Two features set this series apart. The terminal box sits beneath the vibrator, on the same side as the mounting base, which markedly raises electrical protection in dusty surroundings ; its profiled terminals grip the cable and keep it from working loose. And the mounting base is a multi-hole one, which allows several existing hole spacings to be reused. The eccentric weights adjust from 100 % to 0, the ball bearings are sealed and lubricated for life, and inverter control is available from 20 Hz up to base frequency at constant torque.
