The CDX 3/500-G/D houses a three-phase asynchronous motor housed in a flameproof enclosure of type « db ». Gases from an internal explosion can only escape through flameproof joints whose geometry cools them before they reach the outside. Protection IP66, IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), permitted ambient from −20 °C to +40 °C.
The 130 °C thermal protection, fitted as standard on type G/D units, connects to a circuit rated for a maximum of 600 V a.c. and 720 VA, controlled by a pulse switch with manual reset. A PTC thermistor 130 °C is available on specific request.
CDX units ship without a cable gland : the user must fit one, certified for flameproof enclosures and compliant with the standards of the country of installation. Installation, wiring and maintenance of this series follow strict rules, set out in our guide to the CDX flameproof vibrator motor.
