Fifteen models of mechanical exciters with linear motion, from 74,9 to 718 kN, for vibrating conveyors, troughs and large screens. No built-in motor : they are driven by an external motor rated 3 to 110 kW.

Installation in line

VU exciters can be installed in line, connected by cardan shafts, to add up their centrifugal forces. This is how long vibrating conveyors are equipped without multiplying drive points.

An exciter, not a vibrator motor

A conventional vibrator motor contains its own electric motor and is wired directly. A mechanical exciter does not : it is a set of eccentric weights on bearings, driven by an external motor that you select and size yourself. That is why the catalogue quotes a rating in kW rather than a voltage or a current.

This makes sense on medium and large machines : separating the vibrating part from the driving part reduces the loads on the motor and extends the service life of the assembly.

Two weight configurations

The force is not adjusted by phasing weights as on a vibrator motor, but by choosing the additional weights. Each model is listed in two extreme configurations, with intermediate values available.

The trade-off is constant : more weights mean a higher static moment but a lower maximum permissible speed. The working moment is twice the static moment.
