The MVTX 15/5000-G/D houses a three-phase asynchronous motor whose enclosure has increased wall thickness and flameproof joints, intended to stop an explosion arising inside from spreading to the surrounding atmosphere. Protection IP66, impact resistance IK08, insulation class F (155 °C), continuous duty S1 from −20 °C to +40 °C.
Certified under certificates DEMKO 12 ATEX 1103487X and IECEx UL 11.0043X, standards EN/IEC 60079-0, 60079-1 and 60079-31. To these are added cULus approval under file E129825 (Class I Groups CD, Class II Groups EFG, temperature class T4 at 135 °C, standards UL 674-886 and CSA C22.2) and EAC certification No. TC RU C-IT.ГБ08.B.02190. A bimetallic thermal protection 130 °C is fitted as standard ; PTC thermistors 130 °C are available on request.
Centrifugal force is adjusted steplessly, as a percentage of the maximum value, through the eccentric weights reachable with hand tools — allowing the screen’s behaviour to be fine-tuned. Mounting is typically horizontal. The vibrators are lubricated at the factory and need no lubrication at commissioning, and they are supplied no cable gland, with an NPT threaded opening : it is up to the installer to fit a suitable one, certified for flameproof enclosures.
