GOOD VIBRATION

Electric vibrator motors MVSI-TS — Italvibras

The MVSI-TS range takes over the foot-mounted MVSI electric vibrator motors, with one distinctive feature: the weight cover is split into two radially removable half-shells, instead of the conventional axial removal. The result: easier access to and replacement of the weights, even where space around the machine is limited. Available in 4, 6 and 8 poles — the number of poles sets the speed, the figure after the « / » gives the centrifugal force (in 1/10 kg).

Family Speed Centrifugal force Why this choice
15/XXX — 4 poles1,500 rpm13,9 à 82,6 kNA compromise between speed and amplitude: the default choice when neither the material nor the structure imposes a particular constraint.
10/XXX — 6 poles1,000 rpm7,94 à 299 kNWider and slower vibration: needed to release sticky or coarse materials, with less wear and noise on an installation running continuously.
075/XXX — 8 poles750 rpm6,30 à 293 kNVery wide vibration at low frequency: for large structures (silos, heavy frames) that too fast a vibration would fatigue, or to move very heavy or sticky materials with minimal mechanical wear.

How to choose your MVSI-TS?

The MVSI-TS suits the same applications as the standard MVSI — hoppers and silos that are hard to empty, conveyors and chutes, sieves and screens, compaction tables — but its split-cover design makes it the natural choice as soon as maintenance or access to the vibrator becomes a question. Four questions are enough to choose the right reference:

1. Can the cover be removed axially? If the position of the vibrator on the machine leaves no room to remove the cover axially, but side access is possible, the MVSI-TS is the answer: its two half-shells come off radially, without detaching the motor from its mounting.

2. How often do you expect to work on the weights? On an installation requiring frequent adjustment or replacement, the split cover markedly reduces downtime compared with conventional removal.

3. What centrifugal force is needed? As with a standard MVSI, it depends on the weight of the structure to be vibrated and on the nature of the material — the heavier, wetter or stickier it is, the higher the force required. A common sizing rule for a hopper: the centrifugal force required is usually between 1/20 and 1/10 of the weight of material held in the conical section.

4. What speed suits? A 4-pole (1,500 rpm) gives a faster, finer vibration; an 8-pole (750 rpm) gives a wide, slow vibration, better suited to large structures or materials that are hard to release. For continuous 24/7 operation, a lower speed (6 or 8 poles) reduces bearing wear and noise.

The MVSI-TS range is also ATEX certified (category II 2D, protection tD A21 IP66) for use in zones 21 and 22, in explosive dust atmospheres.
